During November, Serbian Constructivist Association was privileged to host one of the brightest constructivist minds nowadays, Professor Harry Procter. Since the qualitative grids are important therapeutic tools taught to students during the regular graduate program, having an opportunity to meet their very creator was undoubtedly a valuable experience. Dr Procter was open for questions and suggestions, and had his focus turned mainly to illustrative practical examples.
Students have asked many interesting questions to which Prof. Procter gladly answered. Live discussions again proved to be fertile ground for indicating further fields of possible development of qualitative methods. One amongst many wonderful features of the qualitative grids within PCP is that they offer endless number of upgrade solutions and inspires ideas – a position our guest kept on emphasizing throughout the workshop. Dr Procter demonstrated how the simplicity of using a grid can lead to significant discoveries about the case, new hypothesis significant for the process and, most important, to providing deeper understanding, to the creation of new pathways and alternative perspectives for the client himself.
This is a third Prof. Procter’s visit to Belgrade. Delighted by the opportunity to have him as our guest, we are looking eagerly forward to his next visit.
